    Our client, a leading cannabis company is seeking a highly skilled FP&A Manager with experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role is critical in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record in FP&A and M&A activities, particularly within dynamic, high-growth environments like cannabis or regulated industries.

    **This is hybrid role, based out of California, or Denver, CO

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
    • M&A Support: Conduct financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless post-merger integration.
    • Strategic Analysis: Provide insights into business performance through detailed variance analysis, KPI tracking, and operational metrics reporting. Develop actionable recommendations for leadership.
    • Reporting & Insights: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Present findings to executives to guide strategic decisions.
    • Business Partnering: Collaborate with department heads across cultivation, manufacturing, retail, and distribution to align financial plans with business strategies.
    • Process Improvement: Design and implement financial tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.
    • Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with senior management to drive strategic initiatives and provide financial expertise during key business discussions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
    • 6–10 years of FP&A experience; cannabis or regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
    • Proven expertise in M&A processes including financial modeling, due diligence, and integration.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau (or similar visualization tools), and financial planning systems.
    • Strong understanding of financial statements and P&L management.
    • Exceptional communication skills to present complex data effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience working in high-growth environments or consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industries.
    • Working knowledge of SQL or Adaptive Insights is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams during M&A projects.

    Compensation: $180-$195,000 plus bonus and benefits
