    Objective: The primary responsibility of the Franchise Sales Director (FSD) is to oversee the growth of The Spice & Tea Exchange® (TSTE®) franchise and the franchise development team. The successful candidate will oversee The Spice & Tea Exchange® franchise development operations and drive significant volume growth while still meeting quality standards through the vetting process. The FSD will mentor and guide their team in the selection process, participate in contract negotiations and administration, Discovery Day, and support the transition of new Franchisees over to the Franchise Operations team for strategic site selection.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    Lead and oversee Franchise Development operations, guiding potential franchisees from initial contact to successful onboarding.

    Partner with the CEO to manage and refine the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

    Collaborate with the executive team to attract high-net-worth individuals for Area Development Agreements across the country.

    Develop and facilitate multi-unit growth opportunities.

    Create and implement a strategic plan and roadmap for expanding into international markets, transitioning from a domestic-only focus to global opportunities.

    Cultivate and mentor a high-performing sales team to ensure the future success of TSTE®.

    Direct the strategic development of leads and SEO for Franchise Sales.

    Oversee the annual Franchise Sales budget and manage departmental operating expenditures (OPEX).

    Align sales KPIs, strategies, and processes with executive management to ensure cohesive growth initiatives.

    Work alongside the TSTE® Marketing, Wholesale, and Creative teams, as well as third-party vendors to design and implement sales collateral that aligns with sales objectives.

    Uphold all sales-related legal and regulatory guidelines, ensuring compliance for TSTE®’s brand integrity and operational effectiveness, covering documentation related to the FDD, Franchise Agreement, and Operations Manual. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiencies proactively.

    Assist the Franchise Sales Manager and Site Selection Manager in scouting potential locations for franchise operations.

    Knowledge and Job Requirements:

    A minimum of 5 to 7 years of Sales Director experience in Franchising, preferably in Specialty Retail.

    Proven success in Franchise expansion efforts and Lead Generation through strategic Marketing.

    Strategic and conceptual thinker with the ability to develop data-driven strategic plans and directly implement tactical plan elements.

    Strong knowledge and ability to articulate all components of FDDs and Franchise Agreements.

    Financial acumen and analytical skills with a strong understanding of unit economics; ability to articulate the impact of key drivers of unit economics and return on investment.

    Resiliency, adaptability to change, and comfort with ambiguity; propensity to embrace change and make improvements to practices.

    Strong collaborative leadership skills (lead by example) with the ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of corporate and different departments, partners, and vendors.

    A hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” proactive approach with personal qualities including a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, accountability, calm under pressure, innovative thinking, and humility.

    Ability to travel up to 30% or as the role demands.

    Physical Requirements to perform the essential functions of this job:
