    Job Title: FSQA Manager

    Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 Annual Salary

    The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.     About the Role:

    The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage product safety, product quality, and Research & Development (R&D) projects. The FSQA Manager will leverage a comprehensive understanding of moisture analysis, water activity, other quality measurement units, and a robust knowledge of GMP. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Director, the FSQA Manager will support both CK and restaurants and guide the team of quality control technicians, ensuring adherence to established processes and maintaining high product quality standards.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead initiatives to monitor and enhance food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

    Manage and guide the quality control team in executing processes related to quality measurements.Ensuring laboratory safety and adhere to instructions for measuring quality metrics using laboratory equipment.

    Oversee Research & Development projects to ensure alignment with quality objectives and the introduction of innovative practices.

    Enforce and promote adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout the production process, and support food quality and traceability via FoodlogiQ

    Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements. Additionally, provide support for the onboarding of new systems.

    Assist in the development of comprehensive food safety plans and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

    Performing Internal audits including auditing of raw, prepped, and finished food procedures; management of Ecosure audits.

    Support with on-boarding, managing, and auditing third party suppliers.

    Responsible for reviewing and maintaining all vendor documentation to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal standards. This includes verifying documents, cross-functional desk audit, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring that suppliers meet all necessary quality and safety requirements.

    Performing root cause analysis for any non-conformities found or reported, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.

    Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, generate reports, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement and regular review of production and receiving records

    Conduct sensory evaluation, visual inspection and analyses (Organoleptic, Moisture, Water Activity) of raw ingredient and finished product samples

    Provide training and support to the quality control team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

    Responsible for monitoring, evaluating and reporting analytical results of products and raw materials including alerting out of compliance results

    Conduct environmental analyses, i.e. swabbing and generate analytical reports

    Provide management with detailed reports as required- daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

    Communicate and follow Din Tai Fung's food safety commitment practices

    Other tasks as assigned by Manager/Director

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or a related field.

    4+ years of proven experience in food safety and quality assurance roles, with experience in team management

    Bilingual in Spanish preferred

    Proven analytical strengths and experience

    Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from customers, managers or the general public

    Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and prioritization to achieve results

    Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel (Google Suite)

    Experience in analyzing data and writing KPI reports

    Ability to react quickly to changing requirements

    Preferred Requirements:

    Bilingual in Spanish

    Special Requirements:

    Certification in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)

    PCQI certification

    ServSafe Manager
