    OVERVIEW: This role is pivotal in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our tenants while maintaining a supportive and enriching environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
    • Prior experience in assisted living or related fields preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with tenants, families, and staff.
    • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of others.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare procedures is advantageous.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide personalized assistance with grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility as needed.
    • Medication Management: Assist tenants with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed medication schedules under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
    • Meal Preparation and Dining Assistance: Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Assist tenants during meal times, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
    • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in tenants rooms and common areas. Perform routine housekeeping tasks and assist with laundry services.
    • Social and Recreational Activities: Engage tenants in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Assist with organizing recreational events and outings.
    • Transportation Assistance: Provide transportation services for residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and recreational activities as needed.
    • Companionship and Emotional Support: Foster meaningful relationships with tenants, offering companionship, empathy, and emotional support.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of services provided, tenants observations, and any incidents or changes in condition. Report concerns or observations to appropriate staff members.
    • Safety and Emergency Response: Ensure the safety and security of residents by promptly addressing any safety hazards or emergency situations. Follow established protocols for emergency response and crisis management.
    • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other staff members, including nurses, caregivers, and administrative personnel, to deliver comprehensive care and support to residents.
    • Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Participate in training programs and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in eldercare and assisted living practices.
