    Overview:
    Meadowview of Johnston seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Dietary Cook/Server to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary guidelines while also providing excellent service to our residents. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of our community through the preparation and serving of meals that cater to diverse dietary needs.

    Cooking Duties:

    - Prepare, cook, and season a variety of foods in accordance with standardized recipes and dietary guidelines.
    - Plan and coordinate meal preparation to ensure all food is ready at the scheduled mealtimes.
    - Ensure that all meals are presented attractively and meet the dietary preferences and restrictions of residents.
    - Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, including proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness of the kitchen.
    - Assist with menu planning, considering nutritional guidelines, seasonal availability, and resident preferences.
    - Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

    Serving Duties:
    - Serve meals to residents in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt service.
    - Engage with residents to understand their preferences and dietary requirements, addressing any special requests or concerns.
    - Ensure that dining areas are clean, organized, and set up for meal service.
    - Collect and handle dietary feedback from residents to continually improve meal offerings.
    - Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils after meal service.

    Qualifications:
    - High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or experience is preferred.
    - Previous experience in dietary cooking and/or serving in a healthcare or institutional setting is a plus.
    - Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary restrictions.
    - Ability to prepare meals for special diets (e.g., diabetic, gluten-free, etc.) is preferred.
    - Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to interact with residents and team members.
    - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    - Willingness to learn and adapt to new menu items and dietary guidelines.

    Physical Requirements:
    - Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
    - Capability to work in a kitchen environment, which may involve exposure to heat, noise, and cleaning agents.
