    Qualifications:

    Assistant Teacher:

    High school diploma required; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).

    Positive Attitude, Caring and Cheerful Personality.

    Responsible & Willingness to work.

    Aware of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.

    Ability to work effectively with a lead teacher to support the overall classroom environment.

    Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage responsibilities effectively.

    Compassionate and dependable with strong communication skills.

    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children, including infants and toddlers.

    Lead Teacher:

    High school diploma and CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education or 5+ years experience in ECE (required).

    Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.

    Must have the ability to engage with children, parents, and faculty in a positive, professional manner.

    Ability to develop meaningful relationships and remain calm in stressful situations.

    Competitive salary: $16.00–$18.00 per hour

    Job Type/Schedule:

    Full-time or part-time positions available.

    School hours are Monday–Friday, with varying shifts within 8 AM–6 PM.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Establish and Maintain a Safe, Healthy, and Nurturing Learning Environment

    Design and arrange the classroom to support developmental goals.

    Ensure safety by maintaining proper ratios and keeping children supervised at all times.

    Perform minor cleaning duties and ensure classroom equipment is in good condition.

    Develop and Implement Engaging Curriculum

    Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules.

    Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play, and other activities.

    Capture moments of the curriculum and play in action to show families how their children are doing in school every day.

    Support Children’s Social, Emotional, and Intellectual Development:

    Foster positive self-esteem, social skills, and empathy through modeling and activities.

    Communicate respectfully with children, peers, and families.

    Support emotional development, providing opportunities for children to feel secure and respected.

    Diapering/potty training skills may be required

    Engage Families and Communicate Effectively:

    Provide daily updates on children’s progress through mobile apps or in-person communication.

    Offer opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s learning experiences, such as conferences and family engagement activities.

    Communicate with parents upon pick up and drop off to greet them with warmth.

    Maintain Professionalism and Commitment:

    Stay informed and comply with all applicable childcare laws and regulations.

    Attend training, faculty meetings, and professional development sessions to grow your skills.

    Follow all Goddard Health and Safety policies and procedures.

    Encourage teamwork and build positive relationships with colleagues.
