    We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this position, you will support the warehouse operations by assisting in receiving shipments, processing and inspecting orders, storing/organizing inventory, data entry, and customer service-related tasks. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience working in a fast-paced, warehouse environment, that is able to multi-task while staying productive.

    Primary Job Description:

    Process damaged items as they are found and notify supervisor immediately

    Open and inspect all new incoming items for damage then re-pack/re-tape boxes

    Receive packages from incoming freight delivery trucks and stage for processing

    Perform identification and marking of new incoming freight

    Use measuring tape to take measurement of all items received

    Perform inspections and administrative paperwork that identifies items, or “write-ups”, of incoming pieces that arrive without paperwork (i.e. via FedEx, UPS, Amazon, USPS)

    Stage inspected items for warehousing efforts

    Process waste as necessary

    Process and repackage items for return

    Perform assembly of furniture and other items using hand/power tools

    General warehouse and grounds upkeep and cleanliness (i.e. keep work areas clean, organized, and aisles clear of debris; pick up trash on floors/aisles as you encounter it; sweeping; vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms and breakroom; maintenance of outdoor parking lot and grounds)

    Pulling and staging pieces in warehouse for upcoming jobs

    Warehousing and putting up of processed items

    Operate forklifts/powered industrial trucks (PIT) along with other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) while adhering to all safety standards

    Perform daily equipment inspection, including of racks, and notifying supervisor of any issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards

    Locate and pick outgoing delivery orders and pick up orders to meet or exceed clients’ expectations with 100% accuracy

    Perform cross referencing of designers’ pull list with TDS inventory lists to ensure 100% accuracy of picked delivery or pick up order; notify designer and/or supervisor immediately of any discrepancies

    Collaborate and communicate with delivery scheduler, data entry team, supervisors, and/or other warehouse associates as needed when pulling items for outgoing deliveries or pick ups

    When pulling items, always scan for damages that may not have been caught by processing team, and notify supervisors immediately of any damages found

    After pulling items, clean pieces thoroughly if any dust/dirt is noticed in preparation for white glove delivery

    Restock bins and ensure all items are inspected and measurements are recorded prior to putting items in bin locations

    Work as a team with other warehouse associates and supervisors to organize warehouse storage space effectively

    Data entry on computer

    Perform paper filing and scanning of processed paperwork after data entry

    Perform phone calls to clients if needed to retrieve more information

    Reading and responding to e-mails and notifying the appropriate person/department

    Perform periodic check of items in damage section and contact the appropriate designer/client to determine if need to dispose of, donate, or save

    Perform periodic inventory spot checks

    Perform all duties above efficiently, safely, and accurately

    Special projects as they occur, and other duties as assigned

    Job responsibilities may change periodically based on the needs of the business

    Minimum Requirements:

    1+ years warehouse experience is preferred

    Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklift, order picker, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is a plus, but not required

    Ability to work with limited supervision

    Excellent time management skills

    Reliable with good work ethic

    Minimum Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry furniture, boxes and other items that can weigh in excess of 100 lbs. for the majority of your work shift, with utilization of team lift when appropriate and deemed unsafe to perform solo

    Ability to frequently walk, stand, squat, stoop, kneel, lift, bend, twist, reach for the majority of your work shift

    Capable of standing for long periods

    Must be able to work in warehouse environment without central AC/heat with variable temperatures, including extreme heat or cold, or very dry or humid conditions

    Must be able to work in warehouse environment with common hazards such as forklift/order picker travel and the movement of people and furniture items of all sizes on a frequent-constant basis

    Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects and furniture of varying sizes and weight

    Able to safely work in high, slippery, or uneven surfaces

    Starting Pay: $16-$18 per hour, depending on experience, paid weekly

    Job Type: Part- time to Full-time

    Schedule: Regular hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm; off Saturdays and Sundays; off on major holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. opportunities to work evening, early morning shifts, or weekends may be available at times

    Benefits: After 90 days of FULL-TIME employment, OFF/PAID on major holidays New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day; Insurance offered to full-time employees, to include Dental, Vision, Life, Short-term Disability, and Critical Illness after 90 days of full-time employment. PTO available after 1 year of full-time employment.
