Job Description
The EMR Consultant will be responsible for helping the architect solutions, train, and support go-lives with practice management systems, EMR, HIE or Revenue Cycle. Serve as a Business and IT knowledge resource facilitating the delivery of capabilities and functionality to strategize solutions that support long term Business and IT objectives.
Responsibilities
- Function as SME for eClinicalWorks and EMR best practices.
- Serve as a lead to our internal EMR support team.
- Maintain positive relationships with client clinical and management leadership.
- Interface with client clinical, business, and operations staff to assist in the development of efficient workflows. Create operational documentation as needed.
- Work with clinical and business leadership to develops solutions to problems or projects which may be unique, using judgment and initiative.
- Collaborate with client clinical leadership and internal project management to implement complex projects such as system migrations, data migration, provide go-live and post go-live support.
- Assist in the development and documentation of data requests and source to target mapping.
- Work between third party vendors to implement interfaces using healthcare standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in EMR systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge in eClinicalWorks EMR required. Knowledge in NextGen is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 3+ years delivering programs in a consulting or consulting like environment; driving complex, multi-faceted, multi-workstream engagements.
