Inpria, a subsidiary of JSR Corporation, has an immediate opening for a Facilities Engineer in Beaverton, OR. You will join our diverse team of talent and contribute to our Pilot Operations team by managing site facilities, qualification and installation of new equipment, and coordinate or perform preventative equipment maintenance required for production of our EUV photoresists. Your experience in managing multiple customer requests, updating stakeholders on system status and batch results, managing personnel, and assisting engineers in issue resolution will help fuel our company’s growth and provide you with opportunities to expand your career.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, develop, and implement solutions to optimize facility operations, driving efficiency, cost savings, safety, and performance improvements.
- Interact with landlord for tenant maintenance requests, receive and disseminate landlord communications
- Manage services: HVAC, UPW, custodial, security accounts
- Manage utilities: natural gas, electrical, waste, water, and liquid or compressed gases
- Maintain relationships with cleanroom, scientific, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, custodial contractors, escalate as necessary to resolve issues
- Conduct routine daily/weekly/monthly rounds, checkups of systems and facility
- Track cleanroom particle count and positive pressure performance
- Develop proposal for UPS or power conditioning to protect scientific equipment
- Collaborate on cost comparison proposal to achieve cost savings in liquid N2 needs
- Maintain inspection schedule involving state, city, county inspectors
- Coordinate installation for new equipment
- Maintain drawings of facility and coordinate with Inpria facility ledadengineer to modify and redline drawings
- Create and update controlled equipment and facilities documentation including process and instrumentation diagrams
- Work in cleanroom environments and practice clean handling procedures to minimize contamination
- Provide occasional evening and/or weekend engineer support, pending business needs
- Support EHS functions on site including testing eyewash stations and safety showers; stock first aid and spill kits; stock and manage PPE; manage testing and calibration of safety equipment
Key Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in an industrial setting
- Demonstration of active and effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Well organized, flexible, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
- Familiarity with OSHA compliance protocols and regulations in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs
- Experience in preventive maintenance support
- Ability to identify and resolve facilities and equipment issues quickly and efficiently
- Project Management Fundamentals; manage CapEx projects, coordinating with different teams to complete projects on time and under budget
- Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Ability to analyze and manage costs from initial design through project completion
- Understanding of Lock-out Tag-out procedures
- Basic proficiency with electromechanical systems
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs from floor to countertop
- Ability to lift 20lbs overhead
- Ability to wear standard cleanroom attire
- Ability to wear standard PPE
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry and/or analysis, and presenting data
- Ability to step into a fume hood for reactor clean-up
- Ability to wear a respirator (upon training/certification) for processes that may require it
