    Internship Duration: May 15 – August 20, 2025

    Location: Madison, WI

    Gain Hands-On Experience in Property Management & Real Estate Operations

    BMOC Inc. is a full-service property management company specializing in student housing

    and multi-family communities. This internship is a great opportunity for UW-Madison

    students interested in real estate, facilities management, or property operations to gain

    hands-on experience in maintaining and preparing rental properties for new residents.

    What You’ll Do

    Apartment Turnover & Repairs

    • Assist with apartment move-out and turnover to prepare for new residents.
    • Perform minor repairs and replacements (e.g., blinds, light fixtures, outlet covers).
    • Troubleshoot common maintenance issues and ensure apartments meet move-in
    • standards.

    Preventative Maintenance & Inspections

    Conduct unit inspections and test essential systems, including:

    o HVAC systems (heating and air conditioning)

    o Plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, water pressure)

    o Security features (window and door locks)

    Perform basic maintenance such as replacing air filters, testing smoke detectors, and

    lubricating door hinges.

    Real Estate & Property Management Exposure

    • Gain insight into the maintenance and operational side of property management.
    • Learn about real estate asset management and the importance of keeping properties in
    • excellent condition.
    • Work closely with property managers, maintenance teams, and vendors to ensure
    • smooth operations.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Students pursuing degrees in Real Estate, Business, Facilities Management,
    • Engineering, or related fields.
    • Interest in property management, construction, or real estate operations.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
    • Comfortable performing hands-on repair and maintenance tasks.
    • Reliable transportation to travel to job sites if needed.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks like standing,
    • kneeling, and reaching.
    • Work may be indoors or outdoors, depending on maintenance needs.
