Part Time - Morning shift
Location: Admin Office & Club Locations
Reports to: Director of Safety & Facilities
Schedule: Monday-Friday (25-30 hours per week)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities
The Facilities & Maintenance Specialist is responsible for administering, coordinating, and evaluating all custodial, maintenance, transportation, and groundskeeping needs for our local facilities.
· Performs inspections and conducts preventative and/or ongoing maintenance and repairs.
· Utilizes tools, materials and equipment related to assigned area of responsibility.
· Executes special projects and/or assignments.
· Effectively responds to emergency spills, clean-up, repair calls.
· Provides oral and written reports as required.
· Interacts with staff and the public to provide information, explain activities, policy, practice.
· Actively supports an inclusive and respectful work environment.
· Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
· Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures appropriate to the day-to-day operations.
· Inspects facilities and equipment on a regular basis and maintains a routine to address short-term and long-term needs to ensure reliability and integrity of all facilities and equipment.
· Maintains building maintenance records, including, but not limited to product information, installer information, maintenance instructions and history, guarantee/warrantee information.
· Files all important records and all other pertinent data associated with the facilities and keeps the files where they are safe and can be readily accessed and updated.
· Partners with the Club Directors to maintain the overall appearance of the Clubs.
· Assists in overseeing the training and quality of work of cleaning vendors.
· Conducts periodic inspections with the staff to assess and modify maintenance and safety needs; implement plans of action to resolve problem areas.
· Inspects restrooms, locker rooms, and kitchen areas for proper cleanliness.
· Conducts weekly inspections on all company vehicles and ensure all are up to regulation (oil changes, detailing, maintenance)
· Maintains maintenance vehicle logs and ensures that all binders are up to date.
· Keeps log of maintenance work on all vehicles.
· Inspects grounds, buildings, and all program areas to eliminate graffiti and litter, and provides safe, neat, clean, sanitary, well-lit, and attractive conditions.
· Inspects all equipment for safety and physical condition.
· Posts safety precautions and instructs staff in their proper and safe use.
· Assists in delivering items, picking up donations, and set up/take down for events.
Additional Responsibilities
· Requires to be able to drive a Club vehicle.
· Travel between Clubs and/or the Admin Office for training and meetings.
· May be required to work hours outside of normal business hours to accommodate facilities and maintenance requirements.
· All other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements of the Work Environment
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and loud environment.
· Ability to continuously stand and move around the Club.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to navigate stairs.
· This individual will occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
· This individual will often be required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
· This individual will be required to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
· Education
o High School degree or G.E.D. is required.
o College degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.
o Technical certifications and/or training in the maintenance field are preferred but not required.
· Work Experience
o A minimum of two years of work experience in facilities
o Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the methods, techniques, tools, and materials used in building and vehicle repairs.
o Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the materials commonly used in the care and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
o Demonstrated experience and knowledge associated with various trades, work, and pertinent safety precautions.
· Skills
o A passion and understanding of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana.
o Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplace.
o High ethical standards.
o Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
o Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external partners.
