Currently we are seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join our team on second shift and be an essential part of our manufacturing team. This person is responsible for conducting general maintenance, inspections, repairs, and improvements to equipment, tools, and facilities. This position will report to the Fabrication & Staging Manager.
$3.00 Shift Differential 2:25 p.m. - 12:55 a.m.
Your Role in Our Mission:
Repair and/or coordinate the repair and improvement of equipment and facility.
Fix unsafe structures and equipment.
Preventative/reactionary equipment and building maintenance as identified.
Make equipment and building alterations and provide training as directed by the Safety Manager to assure that the company is meeting governmental safety requirements.
Complete tasks in a timely manner to minimize safety hazards and maximize production’s efficiency.
Work with other maintenance personnel to maintain a current listing of outstanding projects.
Assist with grounds maintenance during inclement weather including snow removal, salting walkways, and relocation and staging of chassis.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Coordinate maintenance activities with the Maintenance Supervisor that will affect aspects of production.
To Perform this Job Successfully:
A minimum of 1 year preferred in maintenance or electrical work in a manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of the mechanics of equipment and facility structure.
Familiarity with manufacturing machines.
Forklift experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong ability to interact with all levels of individuals within and outside the company.
Ability to read and understand technical documents.
Ability to analyze and solve technical problems.
Ability to operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches.
Arc Flash and OSHA 10 training or will need to be completed once hired.
Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance pol Professional (FMP) preferred.
