    The Role We Want You For

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, small renovations, and handling a wide range of property improvements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs. This position requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

    The Specifics of the Role

    • Perform general repairs and maintenance for our new building, including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and more.
    • Lead small renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
    • Handle quick and emergency repair requests, diagnosing and fixing problems in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with building management and staff to address ongoing maintenance needs and improvements.
    • Occasionally work on projects at partner locations, and other external properties.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
    • Order materials and supplies as needed and ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and local codes.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician, with strong expertise in electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage small renovation projects and coordinate with external contractors if necessary.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional trade certifications are a plus.
