    The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of various buildings of total 225k sf and to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and plumbing equipment.

    What you'll do:

    Repair and maintain facilities to include light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and grounds including landscaping, patching, painting, snow removal, etc.

    Perform preventive maintenance on machines and tools, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other predictive maintenance actions

    Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to repair by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary

    Repair machines, equipment, or building systems, using equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices

    Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities

    Properly use and care for equipment and tools including hand tools, power tools, garden tools, and cleaning tools

    Work to maintain a safe work environment by employing the proper use of personal safety equipment, Freedom Motors' policies and procedures, and good judgment

    Monitor the grounds and facility to ensure the facility is secure

    What you’ll need:

    Knowledge of a variety of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing equipment with proven experience in the maintenance/use of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems

    Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, bobcats, etc. under OSHA specifications

    Highly self-motivated and self-directed

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
