    Job Title: Facility Technician

    Location: Linden, NJ

    Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

    Position Overview

    The Facility Technician is responsible for performing a range of interior facility maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient working environment. This includes routine repairs, light electrical work (up to 240 volts), basic plumbing, and support for general upkeep across the facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working independently while maintaining high safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform routine inspections and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

    Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components such as outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures (up to 240 volts).

    Replace and maintain overhead lighting, including high-bay warehouse lights.

    Assist with minor plumbing tasks, including unclogging drains, replacing sink components, and general water line troubleshooting.

    Use hand and power tools to repair or install doors, shelving, workstation components, and other facility-related items.

    Support internal moves and setups, including furniture assembly and equipment relocation.

    Maintain cleanliness and safety across maintenance work areas.

    Respond to maintenance requests and urgent repair issues in a timely manner.

    Qualifications

    1–2 years of experience in facility maintenance, general trades, or building repairs.

    Comfortable working with interior electrical wiring up to 240 volts.

    Ability to use measuring tools and interpret basic technical instructions.

    Skilled in identifying and safely using tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and cordless power tools.

    Ability to lift up to 49 lbs and work at heights up to 20 feet using ladders or lifts.

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Trade school certification or equivalent hands-on experience is a plus.
