    Job Description

    The Facilities Technician will work under the supervision of the Office Manager and will contribute to the smooth operation of our facility and helping to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning work environment. This position is multi-faceted and involves a combination of general building maintenance and doing what it takes to help make things run well each day.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Agree with Charisma Media's Vision Statement, beliefs and values.
    • Help keep facilities and grounds in excellent condition (includes minor HVAC responsibilities, minor electrical work, moving equipment and furniture, basic drywall, painting, replacing ceiling tiles, irrigation work, pressure washing, etc).
    • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in the entire building.
    • Assist with setting up meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.
    • Serve as the Mail/Shipping point person and oversee all shipping/mailing procedures and perform those tasks when needed and maintain organized records of mailroom activities.
    • Perform courier services as needed
    • Assist with any task required by the Office Manager or building owners
    • Be an on-call responder for after-hours emergency calls
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A Jack-of-all-Trades with basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, equipment/furniture repairs
    • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and order.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and external service providers.
    • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
    • Ability to respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues in person, by telephone or via email.
    • Excellent command of the English language
    • Must be computer literate with skills such as: typing, sending and receiving emails, internet research, Microsoft Word.
    • Possess great written and verbal skills and good penmanship.
    • Must be able to follow directions well and follow-through on all duties/projects/jobs.
    • Must have a clean, valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience in facilities or maintenance

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear for long periods of time. Must be able to operate a vehicle and have valid driver’s license. Must be able to listen and speak effectively on the phone. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Additional Information

    Location : On-site from our Corporate office, located at 1150 Greenwood Blvd, Lake Mary, Florida.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:15am to 4:15pm. Must be able to respond to on-call requests on moment's notice.

    Compensation: $37,000 - 41,000 / year depending on qualifications.

    Work Environment : The work environment is a normal office setting. Although fast-paced, it is a pleasant environment, which includes cordial relationships. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

    Physical Requirements : Must be able to sit for extended periods and able to lift and carry office supplies and equipment (up to 50 lbs).

    Interview Process : If your resume is selected for consideration, you will be contacted by our Staffing Coordinator by email and will be asked to complete a Candidate Questionnaire followed by a telephone interview. If you are selected further, you will be invited for an in-person meeting at our corporate office for skills testing and an interview with our Office Manager. Skills testing will include the following: Basic proofreading and spelling, personality profile, and typing test.

    The final interview will be conducted by the hiring manager. If you are chosen to fill the position, you will be contacted by the Staffing Coordinator with final job details and onboarding information.
