Scott Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a reliable, dependable, and eager-to-learn Facilities Technician II. They will be responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair tasks on all facilities and equipment, including cleanliness of the warehouse/shop floor, general maintenance requests, assembly of furniture, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and minor construction work. Also having the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems across multiple trades, and responding to work orders promptly to complete preventative maintenance as needed. Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities: • None. Duties/Responsibilities: • Regularly inspecting and servicing building systems like HVAC units, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, fire alarms, and other equipment to prevent breakdowns. • Diagnosing and fixing issues with mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including basic repairs like replacing parts, fixing leaks, and addressing malfunctions. • Ability to work independently or with little supervision and/or be a helper to the maintenance and custodial departments. • Heavy cleaning of the shop area to stop and prevent the buildup of dust. • Organization of yard, pallets, trash, and recycling. • Performing minor cabinet carpentry tasks like door repairs, furniture assembly, wall patching, and trim installation. • Conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify potential maintenance issues and report them to superiors. • Responding to work orders in a timely manner, assessing the problem, and completing repairs according to established procedures. • Assisting with small construction projects like painting, drywall repair, and minor remodeling. • Maintaining proper inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks. • Adhering to safety regulations and procedures while performing maintenance work. • Operating ride-on vehicles safely and following all rules regarding operation. • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair details, dates, and costs. • Reviewing the CMM on a daily basis in order to complete tasks in a timely Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge of tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose problems, and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; building structure or machinery. • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals, ingredient lists, MSDS. • Ability to follow all safety guidelines and protocols. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED equivalent • 2-3+ years of experience within any specialized role or trade Physical Requirements: • Regularly lifting, and moving objects up to 25+ lbs. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. • Dexterity to handle tools and operate equipment with precision.
