Facilities Technician
St. Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $40k-60k
Konik is partnering with a firm in the St. Paul Metro that is adding a Facilities Technician to their team. You'll work as a part of the facilities management team to assist in maintaining educational and commercial facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that is mechanically inclined and has an interest in developing in the field of facilities or maintenance management.
Facilities Technician Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the facilities management team to assist with maintenance tasks at various properties.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Help with basic repairs and troubleshooting for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems (training will be provided as needed).
- Respond to service requests and work orders to resolve building issues promptly.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
- Keep track of maintenance activities, equipment status, and task completion, and provide regular updates to the facilities manager.
- Be available for on-call duties and emergencies, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Facilities Technician Requirements:
- A high school diploma; an associate degree or technical training is a plus, but not required.
- 1-3 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial work, or any mechanical-related field is beneficial, but we're also open to individuals eager to gain hands-on experience.
- Mechanical inclination is key—whether you've worked on engines, built things with your hands, or simply love fixing things, we want to hear from you.
- Valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record: The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record, as they will be responsible for operating company vehicles.
- Background Check: Employment is contingent upon passing a background check after a conditional offer of employment
