    Job Description

    NBCUniversal is looking for a Facility Manager (FM) for our Facilities Operations and Engineering team in Universal City, CA. You will work closely with all divisions of West Coast Studio Operations and in close partnership with the Senior Director of Facilities and be responsible for the day-to-day facilities and management functions at the NBC Universal Studio Lot.

    What You’ll Do…

    • Leading a team of high performing union trades including Paint, Propmakers, Labor, Office Maintenance, Metal Shop, Lock Shop and Hazmat.
    • Work closely with Office Services, Corporate Services, Service Center, Production Services, Security, Studio Design & Construction, Maintenance Repair Operations, EHS, Emergency Services, and fire prevention teams in the delivery of best-in-class customer service.
    • Interact on a regular basis with the Studio Operations Service Center in the management of client requests and projects.
    • Ensure that Facilities Incident Report procedures are followed in a consistent manner and in conformance with established procedures.
    • Develop notifications to campus employees in partnership with facilities, marketing and communication teams.
    • Upon business unit request, gather vendor costs for capital or non-capital work for their approval.
    • Project management partnership with our Studio Design and Construction department on internally executed projects including pre-bid scoping, bidding, job walks, coordination, compliance, scheduling, budget performance, change orders and overall project performance.
    • Track, create and audit KPI reporting pertinent to business unit goals and objectives.
    • Champion safe work practices in all areas of facilities.
    • Assist in developing the scope of work for contract services in conjunction with Senior Director and Sourcing.
    • Implement and maintain any sustainability programs or initiatives at the property.
    • Conduct regular client/business visits; establish and maintain positive relationships with all business contacts.
    • Oversee and coordinate any special requests.
    • Support production services as needed.
    • Track preventative maintenance programs for all supervised trades and provide reporting and feedback on completion, efficiency and opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with our MRO team on continuous improvement strategies for the preventative maintenance program effectiveness and efficiency.

    What You Have…

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Business or related field
    • 3+ years prior experience in facilities management and/or property management
    • 3+ years of experience managing union personnel
    • 2+ years of experience in work planning and analysis
    • 2+ years general accounting experience
    • 2+ years of experience interpreting and creating financial models
    • 2+ years of experience in cost-effective internal business practices
    • 2+ years of experience in data analytics and verification

    What Would Make You a Stand-out:

    • 5+ years prior experience in Facility Management or equivalent complex facility operation.
    • Professional designation such as FMP, RPA, CPM, or LEED etc.
    • Strong project management experience.
    • Experience with enterprise Integrated Workplace Management Systems, work planning and scheduling and materials management
    • Experience managing in a union environment

    Additional Requirements:

    • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
