    POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Facility Specialist manages the day-to-day operations of the facilities, including maintenance, safety, and security. They ensure the facility runs efficiently and cost-effectively and complies with regulations. The Facility Specialist also manages the maintenance of all company-owned vehicles and assists with inventory control. **

    HANDS (Responsibilities + Duties)

    • Comply with all building codes (capacity, fire codes, etc.)
    • Comply with all facility and safety policies (equipment rental, room rental, etc.)
    • Coordinating church workdays and other building projects with volunteers or contracted professionals.
    • Exercise good stewardship by creating, managing, and achieving budget goals within budgetary frameworks for church accounts.
    • Complete or assist with building projects (including stage or event props)- when necessary.
    • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs, climb and work on a ladder, stand for extended periods
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate departments.
    • Identify and complete general maintenance repairs throughout our facilities.
    • Manage relationships with contracted companies efficiently, with integrity, and in a way that upholds our culture.
    • Coordinate/Lead volunteer team on church “workdays/projects” and Sunday services.
    • Ability to handle repairs throughout the facilities, including plumbing, painting/drywall, handyman work, landscaping maintenance, etc.
    • Assist with the maintenance of the exterior of the building, including grounds maintenance.
    • Work with outside vendors/contractors.
    • Utilize maintenance records for the building, contacts of outside vendors/volunteers, and annual/seasonal maintenance checklists
    • Weekly and routine maintenance and upkeep for church-owned vehicles
    • Knowledge and execution of Church security plan for a weekend experience, including children's area (emergency, hazardous weather, evacuation, etc.)
    • Oversight for building projects
    • Attend and participate in all weekend services, special worship times, leadership meetings, and church-wide events.
    • Assist with the setup of tables and chairs for events
    • Oversee checkout policy for all facility items
    • Oversee and maintain arena seating layout.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
    • Any other tasks deemed necessary

    HAND (Knowledge + Training)

    • REQUIRED: 3-5 years of experience in facility management. Handyman experience is preferred
    • General knowledge of building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and custodial skills
    • Excellent driving record
    • Must have experience driving a box truck, operating a forklift, and scissor lift.
    • Excellent Interpersonal skills
    • Ability to lead other people and assist them in becoming well-versed in our culture code
    • Ability to train and inspire volunteers
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work systematically while engaging in multiple tasks in a time-sensitive manner
    • Willing to pursue continuous learning opportunities and to stay current with church culture and needs
    • Ability to resolve conflict in a calming manner
    • Ability to make quick decisions that are in the best interest of the organization

    • Understanding the fire panel operation and responding to an alarm condition
    • Must have working knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and mechanical (HVAC) systems.
