Manufacturing Quality Assurance Project Coordinator
Daily/weekly update on engineering and manufacturing status communicating notes and details to The Project Manager and Project Engineer. Daily/weekly management of Project scope, timeline, and "approved for manufacture" drawings; document / update project milestone matrix as needed. Validate equipment manufactured against project drawings prior to shipment. Daily/weekly oversight of all outbound equipment / material shipments, ensure proper packing requirements are followed, and equipment/material is directed to the correct ship to address at the appropriate time as outlined in the project milestone matrix.
1\. Attend factory production meetings and provide status updates, document meeting notes/minutes and distribute to the project manager.
2\. Maintain quality notes and provide feedback to the project manager / project engineer. Interface with production manager facilitating high quality on time equipment delivery.
3\. Build relationships within the manufacturing ranks to earn credibility and add value to the pre- shipment activities occurring with the busway manufacturing plant.
4\. Be present during outgoing shipment packaging, inspect outgoing equipment, confirm all shipments are packaged properly and ensure equipment is prepared for the rigors of transit to the customer site. Ensure outgoing equipment is photographed prior to packaging.
5\. Coordinate with the factory shipping department to ensure proper address / ship to information is noted on all outgoing shipments.
Ensure all equipment and packages are created and shipped according to customer instructions and are coordinated with the customer’s receiving entity.
6\. Ensure call ahead information is available and acted on prior to any equipment shipments.
7\. Aid the PMO to maintain a visible daily presence at the factory. Maintain a good working relationship with the production staff and management team.
8\. Be a liaison between factory production/management staff and the project manager on all issues that come up during the day. This includes
Attending daily production meetings, documenting information obtained, and communicating with the project manager / project engineer all issues that become visible.
9\. Maintain the pm calc task manager documenting all pre-shipment manufacturing issues with comments to provide updates to relevant parties.
Meeting minutes due within 24 hours following factory meeting.
The quality of material shipped is high.
Internal engagement of PMO ESREP is accepted by the factory
Photo information provided for all outgoing shipments, and shipments are received with no damage by the customer.
Shipments arrive on time and are received by the customer complete with all material / equipment in good condition.
The customer is aware of all incoming shipments factory personnel provides information freely to aid in project success and good customer communication.
Project management could engage with factory leadership to proactively address challenges.
Pm calc task manager is maintained, and issues are closed expeditiously.
0\. Attend any other company meetings as designated by the project manager. This may include scheduling meetings, quality control review meetings, etc.
11\. Properly escalate unresolved issues to the project manager and/or the plant quality manager.
12\. Understand the progress of the project in relation to the construction and commissioning schedule so we can evaluate if we are maintaining our schedule in relation to the client’s schedule.
