The Fairfield by Marriott Columbus/West is looking for a professional, energetic Housekeeper. He/She will have the goal of daily creating a clean and orderly environment for guests, which in turn will directly strengthen the reputation of the hotel.

The Executive Housekeeper must be able to perform multiple tasks daily based on occupancy and staffing after going through a full training program. This includes training new members of the team, room inspections, daily paperwork, scheduling and taking inventory. This job requires full knowledge and experience in housekeeping department including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and polishing fixtures. Should be able to bend down, lift up to 25-50 Lbs. and push carts. Climbing a stool stepper or ladder, bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time, moving furniture are required for this job.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety of all guests and guests’ belongings.

Ensure cleanliness of guest room floor according to daily assignment and standards.

Perform daily room inspections

Provide training to staff as needed

Help GM of the property with the hiring needs of the department

Provide assistance in performing evaluations for the staff

Take necessary inventory of all department items

Create order guide and list on regularly based on business needs

Vacuum floors daily.

Making sure that the guest rooms are cleaned as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming

Dust all ledges and frames.

Sweep and mop vending areas as well as stairwells. All common areas of the hotel must be cleaned daily.

Stock and organize housekeeping carts/shelves during shift to ensure items are readily available to co-workers.

Must assist other room attendants with retrieving items necessary for cleaning of guests’ room as well as trash removal. Be a team player.

Responsible for removal of dirty linens and trash from guest rooms and common areas of the hotel

Perform projects assigned daily in response to Management/Supervisor request.
