    We’re looking for a positive and professional hotel front desk agent to deliver an exceptional experience to every guest at our hotel. You’ll welcome guests, manage their information, distribute their keys and room assignments, and answer any general inquiries to ensure they have an excellent stay with us. Responsibilities: Handle customer complaints as necessary Welcome, register, check-in, and check out guests staying at the hotel, provide keys and room numbers, and record credit card information Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests Bookkeeping: keep accurate records of all hotel guest account information Answer incoming calls and questions about guests’ needs in-person and online regarding room bookings, room rates, amenities, available rooms, rewards programs, and special requests • REGISTERS AND ASSIGNS ROOMS TO GUESTS. • Issue room key, and direct guests as appropriate. • DATE STAMPS SORT AND RACKS INCOMING MAIL AND MESSAGES. • Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone, fax, and email. • ANSWERS INQUIRIES PERTAINING TO HOTEL SERVICES, REGISTRATION OF GUESTS, AND SHOPPING, DINING, ENTERTAINMENT, AND TRAVEL DIRECTIONS. • Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts. • COMPUTES BILLS, COLLECT PAYMENTS, AND MAKES CHANGE FOR GUESTS. • May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests. • MAY POST CHARGES SUCH AS ROOM, FOOD, BY HAND, OR MACHINE. • May make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation for guests. • MAY DEPOSIT GUESTS’ VALUABLES IN THE HOTEL DEPOSIT BOX. • Will help direct housekeepers with rooms to clean. • WILL BLOCK OUT GUESTS ACCORDING TO MARRIOTT TIER. • Will help store Guest luggage in the back office if required by Guest. Qualifications: Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems Must have graduated high school, received a GED or equivalent 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred Well-versed in taking telephone calls and handling stressful situations Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational skills, and customer service skills Purpose for the Position: To perform in a pleasant professional and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related, but not limited, to check‑in and check‑out of guests, which contributes to an overall positive experience. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: • Speak clearly and listen carefully. • USE PERSONAL JUDGMENT AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE TO GIVE INFORMATION TO PEOPLE. • Communicate well with many different kinds of people. • CHANGE EASILY AND FREQUENTLY FROM ONE ACTIVITY TO ANOTHER SUCH AS FROM TYPING TO INTERVIEWING, TO SEARCHING IN A DIRECTORY, TO USING A TELEPHONE OR RADIO TRANSMITTER. • Clean Common Areas such as but not limited to front office area, refresh bathrooms, fold towels and sheets, etc. • Use eyes, hands, and fingers accurately while operating a switchboard or computer keyboard. LANGUAGE SKILLS: • MUST HAVE DEVELOPED LANGUAGE SKILLS TO THE POINT TO BE ABLE TO: READ AND UNDERSTAND INSTRUCTIONS, SAFETY RULES, ETC. • WRITE REPORTS WITH PROPER FORMAT, PUNCTUATION, SPELLING AND GRAMMAR, USING ALL PARTS OF SPEECH. • Speak with poise, voice control and confidence using correct English and well‑modulated voice. JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME $17 PER HOUR OR MORE. EXPERIENCE: Service Industry: 1 year (Preferred) Compensation: $17- $18 hourly

    • Registers and assigns rooms to guests. • Issue room key, and direct guests as appropriate. • Date stamps sort and racks incoming mail and messages. • Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone, fax, and email. • Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. • Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts. • Computes bills, collect payments, and makes change for guests. • May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests. • May post charges such as room, food, by hand, or machine. • May make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation for guests. • May deposit guests’ valuables in the hotel deposit box. • Will help direct housekeepers with rooms to clean. • Will block out guests according to Marriott tier. • Will help store Guest luggage in the back office if required by Guest. • May be cross-trained as night shift and be given additional duties as determined by Front Office Supervisor.
