    Fall Equal Access Internship | 2024




    **Location: Nashville, TN

    Position Type: Part-time Internship

    Internship Length: September 9th, 2024 - December 20th, 2024 (15 weeks preferred)

    About us:

    As a part of mtheory's goal and commitment to supporting and diversifying all areas of Country Music, we launched the Equal Access Development Program, an artist and management development training initiative, in partnership with CMT In April 2022. This initiative is designed to give artists and managers from underrepresented demographics in the country music industry the access, training, and networking opportunities they aren't always afforded.     mtheory provides artist managers with services, support, and capabilities across a wide range of disciplines, including marketing, touring, live event production, financing, digital services, and label services. Our manager clients include Southern Ground (Zac Brown Band), Sarepta (Trace Adkins), Punkdafunk (SOFI TUKKER, Cut Copy), UROK (Liam Gallagher), BackForty Management (Shakey Graves, Langhorne Slim) and many more. Based in New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville, mtheory offers artist managers a platform to build their businesses and enhance their artists' careers.

    Responsibilities

    • Supporting marketing manager and the executive director with day-to-day needs
    • Create and manage Equal Access social platforms
    • Attend and participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions
    • Assist in tracking artist social and streaming date and create reports around releases.
    • Assist in brainstorming ideas for Equal Access artists, managers and the program as a whole.
    • Conduct digital audits for current and potential clients and members of the cohort

    Preferred Skills

    • Passion in advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within Country music
    • Enthusiasm and a desire to learn
    • A self-starter who can take direction but work independently
    • An approachable and positive attitude
    • Experience managing social media accounts and scheduling content
    • Basic video editing and graphic design skills or familiarity with platforms (Canva, Photoshop, Premiere, Capcut)
    • Great organizational skills and an ability to multitask
    • A strong interest in music, artist and business management
    • Previous internship experience in the industry is beneficial

    Position Information

    • Internship is part-time (preferred: minimum of 3 days per week, for 15 weeks)
    • Internship is paid at the minimum wage of the state in which the office the intern is working in
    • College credit is available
    • Access to a reliable internet connection is required for this position
