    Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. We are looking for an attorney who will grow with the firm. Must be either living near our physical office or willing to relocate to this area. Experience in family is preferred but not required. We are looking for a long-term team member who wants to make a career out of family law and would like to help our practice grow over the next five years or more. We are willing to train new attorneys who are ready to make a commitment to excel in this area. 1500 hours billed and collected per year required. Health insurance, PTO, 401(k) with employer match are available. Salary begins at $93,000 for a newly barred associate and increases with your experience level to $140,000 and above. Familiarity with Clio, West Form Builder, and Excel preferred. Must love learning and plan to truly excel in your chosen field. If this describes you we are looking forward to meeting you. Responsibilities: • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed Qualifications: • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Must have the desire to become board-certified in Family Law • Enjoy taking cases to trial or pursuing aggressive, early settlements • Must be able to manage a large docket • Work with and delegate to a large spectrum of personalities • We represent great parents. You must be equally comfortable advocating for custody for a man or a woman • Must be comfortable representing parties in CPS cases • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas Compensation: $93,000 - $150,000 yearly
