Responsibilities: Our ideal candidate possesses over 2 years of experience in family law and is knowledgeable about Minnesota procedures. The candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Preparing motions, affidavits, legal arguments, testimony, and trial briefs • Conducting thorough preparations for hearings • Consulting with clients to strategize on cases • Communicating with opposing parties, courts, and relevant stakeholders • Conducting comprehensive legal research to identify and apply pertinent case law, statutes, and judicial decisions • Investigating the facts surrounding cases • Reviewing and staying updated on new laws and regulations • Drafting substantive correspondence • Reviewing and approving documents prepared by paralegals Qualifications: • 2+ years’ experience in family law • Admitted to Minnesota Bar • Expresses sensitivity to others – can make clients feel comfortable sharing personal information relating to their cases • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Open-minded and willing to learn • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Can quickly adapt to changing deadlines • Ability to manage many cases at one time • Technologically savvy • Extensive use of Microsoft Office products Compensation: $108,200 yearly
