Associate Attorney for Family Law Firm in Irvine CA.
Direct Hire position with pay depending on experience, details listed below. Hybrid with flexibility to work from home 2 days/week. Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Firm has excellent benefits including, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation, Holiday, etc.
Experience in the range of 1-3 years , salary is $100,000 - $138,000
Experience in the range of 5-7 years , salary is $150,000 - $175,000
Responsibilities:
- Ability to multi-task independently, be proactive and successfully manage a variety of demands.
- Ability to prepare for court hearings and deposition including trials, preparation.
- Ability to competently handle tasks with minimal supervision including all aspects of case from calendaring, strategizing, preparing documents, completion of discovery, communication with clients, experts, the court, and opposing counsel.
- Manage calendars and dockets for client matters.
- Ability to communicate with experts.
- Ability to respond timely and effectively in a team atmosphere.
- Trial preparation, including but not limited to the preparation of exhibits.
- Draft, organize, review disclosures, pleadings, judicial council forms, discovery and other legal documents.
- File preparation/organization and assist with document management and e-filing of documents and media.
- Assist with the processing of daily incoming and outgoing mail and other documents.
- Assist with intake as needed.
- Scanning, copying, and saving of documents.
- Assist with management of paralegals and other staff, as needed.
- Ability to work in office 5 days per week with flexibility to work 2 days at home per week so long as consistent with the firm’s needs.
- Attend marketing events or other firm events as needed.
- Reliable with excellent attendance.
Requirements:
- Must be a member of the California State Bar in good standing and have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Professional and pleasant demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to hit the ground running, attend EVIDENTIARY hearings, and work with little supervision. Strong a ttention to detail and self-starter.
- Min 1 year Family Law experience.
- High level of computer competency in the complete Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe PDF/PRO, Lexis Nexis, West law, Smokeball (Preferred).
- Must be a self-starter who is well organized and can handle multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize work.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude but also able to work independently.
- Must be reliable and responsible.
- Must be flexible and open-minded.
- Must maintain at least 6.5 hours/day of billing.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, photocopier, postage machine, and scanner.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
