    Our law group is growing and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities: • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Minimum billable hour requirement of 120 hours per month • Requires in-person Court hearings in Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, Montgomery, and Harris Counties in Texas Qualifications: • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Must be comfortable on camera for videos on relevant topics for social media • Must be able to work without a legal assistant or paralegal • Must be able to bill a minimum of 120 hours per month • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 5 years • Must be organized and self-motivated as this is a remote position • Must be licensed in the State of Texas Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 yearly
