Position Overview: We are seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney who is passionate about family law and eager to contribute to our team. This hybrid role offers a balance of 50% in-office/court and 50% remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring active involvement in all aspects of case management. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support issues. • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs. • Conduct legal research and apply findings to support case strategies. • Advocate for clients in court proceedings and negotiations. • Manage a manageable caseload to deliver personalized, high-quality service. • Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies and keep them informed. • Stay current with family law regulations and trends. Qualifications: • JD degree from an accredited law school. • Licensed to practice in Texas. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law. • Strong understanding of family law principles and procedures. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills. • Ability to handle multiple cases effectively and work independently. • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in court hearings and offer legal counsel in family law matters within Austin, TX, US. • Maintain well-organized files to ensure team members have timely access to updates. • Provide conflict resolution guidance, analyze legal matters, and engage in negotiations for clients specializing in family law. • Create various legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and settlement agreements. • Facilitate efficient case management by effectively communicating with clients and paralegals. Qualifications: • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience handling family law cases specifically in Texas is required and cannot be negotiated. • Successful completion of the bar exam and possession of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is mandatory. • Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA) is a prerequisite for this position. • Admission to the Texas Bar is an essential requirement. • Proof of holding a valid Texas Driver’s License and automobile insurance is mandatory. • Proficiency in accurately tracking billable hours is a crucial skill. • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel is essential, with an ability to quickly grasp new software. • Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and reliability are key attributes we seek. • Problem-solving skills and effective communication are vital for success in this role.
