What You’ll Be Doing: • Leading family law cases from start to finish —no second chair here! • Handling divorce, will contests, prenuptial agreements, mediation, paternity, child custody, alimony, and property division with precision. • Advocating fiercely in cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, hidden assets, and complex custody disputes. • Bringing strategic thinking and compassion to every case you touch. Responsibilities: • Serve people with Compassion and always put the well-being of children first • Strictly observe deadlines and billable hour requirements • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Represent clients in court proceedings as first chair when needed • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up-to-date • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Serve people with Compassion and always put the well-being of children first • Strictly observe deadlines and billable hour requirements • Work as a Team for the Growth of the Law Firm Qualifications: • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Must be licensed to practice law in good standing in Texas for at least 5 years • Must have prior litigation experience and success • Must have high moral and ethical standards • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a litigation role • Must have a passionate desire to help families in child custody fights and domestic violence cases • Must maintain a positive attitude even under stress • Must be a true team player, willing to pitch in and contribute wherever needed Compensation: $85,000 - $93,500 yearly
