Responsibilities: • Provide excellent legal representation in family law matters • Effectively and independently manage pre-decree and post-decree domestic relations matters, including dissolution of marriage and allocation of parental responsibility matters • Perform thorough discovery and advanced legal research, prepare and review complex court documents, and actively participate in various legal proceedings • Effectively delegate tasks to a skilled paralegal and utilize third-party experts in domestic relations matters, as necessary • Create and implement strategic plans to achieve client objectives, and effectively communicate the plans to clients • Independently handle caseload from case open to closure, ensuring top-quality legal representation on a range of domestic relations cases • Maintain close communication with clients throughout all stages of their relationship with the firm Qualifications: The candidate must have at least five years of Colorado family law experience. Previous practice in family law within Colorado is a mandatory requirement for this position. Other necessary qualifications include: • Experience with complex family law cases, particularly those involving business interests, executive compensation, and intricate financial issues. • Capability of handling a caseload of a minimum of 20-30 active domestic relations cases while simultaneously monitoring and recording billable hours. • Highly valued personal traits include integrity, intelligence, character, responsiveness, and professional demeanor. • Demonstrated dedication to continuous professional growth, involvement in legal education programs, and awareness of knowledge gaps. • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, including the ability to establish boundaries and prioritize tasks, while meeting job demands. • Exceptional professionalism and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, including documentation of essential communications, explaining cost-benefit analyses, and keeping clients apprised of the status of their case.
