We are seeking a family law associate who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, child custody, CHINS/DCS, and protective orders. The family law associate should be able to effectively advocate and negotiate in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities: • The ability to effectively manage a fast-moving and high-volume caseload • Must be able to hit the ground running to serve our already-established clients • Conduct legal research, and create legal documents, including correspondences, motions, pleadings, legal contracts, affidavits, and settlement proposals • Represent clients in court hearings and other proceedings as needed • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Handle the division of marital assets • Work closely with paralegals and other attorneys to ensure swift action through the litigation process • Keep client files properly organized and up-to-date Qualifications: • Active license in good standing to practice law in Indiana • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work with our team of supervising attorneys, paralegals, and staff to best serve client needs and grow the client base • 3+ years of experience in a variety of family law cases • Proven record of success in advocating for clients Compensation: $100,000 yearly plus bonus - varies based on experience
