Responsibilities: • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications: • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • 5-10 years of family law experience preferred Compensation: $95,000+ yearly
