Responsibilities: • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications: • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background Compensation: $135,000+ yearly DOE
