Ideal candidates have 5 or more years of experience as lawyers in family law and can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. We are looking for a team player to take ownership of a client’s case, including consulting with clients, having direct contact with opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and handling mediations, conferences, pretrial hearings, and trials. You need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, and common technology. Even better if you know how to use Clio on a Mac. Our firm has created efficient processes to streamline workflow so case management is seamless between attorneys and the skilled paralegals who assist. Responsibilities: • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed Qualifications: • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 3-5 years is required Compensation: $100,000 - $175,000 yearly
