We are looking for sharp family attorneys who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. You will be working with a full staff of paralegals and legal assistants and have the benefit of other family law attorneys to assist in reviewing your cases and devising case strategy. The prime candidate will be organized, focused, able to delegate comfortably, and able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. If you are passionate about helping people navigate some of the most difficult challenges they may face in their lives, start your application today Responsibilities: • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications: • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Must have the desire to become board-certified in Family Law • Enjoy taking cases to trial or pursuing aggressive, early settlements • Must be able to manage a large docket • Work with and delegate to a large spectrum of personalities • We represent great parents. You must be equally comfortable advocating for custody for a man or a woman • Must be comfortable representing parties in CPS cases • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas Compensation: $93,000 - $170,000 yearly
