    We are seeking a compassionate, driven, and skilled Family Law Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for advocating on behalf of individuals and families navigating complex and sensitive legal matters. As a Family Law Associate, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload, including divorce, child custody, child support, legitimation, paternity, modifications, and domestic violence cases. This role requires excellent communication skills, sound judgment, strong legal research and writing abilities, and a commitment to client-centered representation. You will work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients from case intake through resolution, including litigation and settlement negotiation. The position offers meaningful opportunities for courtroom experience, client advocacy, and professional growth in a supportive and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of family law cases from inception to resolution, including client intake, discovery, motions, mediation, and trial. • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, settlement agreements, and trial briefs. • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and depositions. • Provide strategic legal advice tailored to each client’s unique situation, ensuring they understand their rights and options. • Negotiate settlements and parenting plans while maintaining professionalism and advocating for client interests. • Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure efficient file management and timely case progression. • Maintain organized and detailed case files and billing records in compliance with firm policies and deadlines. • Stay current on changes in family law statutes, case law, and court procedures in relevant jurisdictions. • Exhibit empathy, professionalism, and discretion in handling emotionally charged matters. • Participate in firm meetings, trainings, and client development initiatives as needed. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. • Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia. • 2 + years of family law experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with relevant litigation or clerkship experience). • Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with attention to detail. • Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and discretion in client interactions. • Proficiency in case management and legal billing software is a plus. Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000
