Responsibilities: • Litigate and resolve matters related to divorce and separation, covering areas such as property division, child custody, and spousal support. • Maintain effective communication with clients and other relevant parties involved in legal proceedings. • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, demonstrating strong advocacy skills. • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court hearings, trials, and depositions. • Conduct comprehensive legal research and offer expert legal advice to clients. • Draft a variety of legal documents, such as discovery motions, pleadings, and briefs. Qualifications: • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Must be an active member in good standing with the Maine State Bar or your home state bar. • Should be willing to apply for reciprocal admission to the Maine Bar if relocating. • Demonstrated expertise and/or passion for family law is required. • Must possess strong client-focused qualities: Compassion, Connection, Communication. • Should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a dynamic legal team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must. • High-level client management skills are a requirement. • Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills are essential. • Prior experience in courtroom advocacy is necessary. Compensation: $100,000 - $180,000 DOE
