We are a boutique law firm seeking the perfect match for an in-office superior team member with prior Legal Assistant experience in a law firm; please do not apply if you do not have prior relevant experience. Responsibilities: This role in our firm is crucial to caring for clients in both a compassionate and efficient manner. Positive, friendly, and professional interpersonal skills are essential requirements for becoming a member of our firm. • File court documents, including e-filing; oversee Administrative Assistants in their performance of same • Maintain the integrity of a case’s file management systems regarding their assigned cases, including classifying, arranging, retrieving and storing information in both electronic and hard copy formats • Oversee Administrative Assistants in the setting up and maintenance of the same • Perform file opening procedures; assist with the closing of client files in a thorough manner pursuant to the Firm’s closing and document destruction policy • Manage calendars; schedule appointments, and hearings; track deadlines and time-sensitive tasks, oversee Administrative Assistants in their maintenance of the same • Monitor case court dockets; assure Attorney calendars up-to-date with case events; oversee Administrative Assistants in their maintenance of same • Schedule and prepare for mediations, coordinating with mediator, opposing counsel, client • Schedule and prepare conference calls, client meetings, settlement conferences, court hearings • Update legal case management system regarding their assigned cases; capture client information • Be accessible to clients as needed throughout their case’s progression; provide professional, compassionate client support • Monitor, prioritize, organize and facilitate daily workflow for Attorney(s), self, Paralegals • Back up the Administrative Assistant to answer, screen, prioritize and place telephone calls appropriately; communicate effectively and professionally with clients, potential new clients, vendors, attorneys, paralegals, court personnel • Back up the Administrative Assistant to accurately notate messages and forward messages to appropriate Firm personnel; notate/record messages in the Firm’s case management software • Provide marketing support with regard to potential new client intake when needed; collect initial required information for potential new client intake and conflicts checks when acting as backup to the Administrative Assistant Qualifications: • Knowledge of basic legal terminology, processes, documents, and case flow as it relates to family law • Shows attention to detail; robust writing, grammar and proofing skills • Is highly organized; able to multi-task proficiently • Shows strong interpersonal skills in working with clients, attorneys, Court personnel, vendors, Firm members, etc.; able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, vendors, attorneys, paralegals, Court personnel, Firm members • Able to work collaboratively under the direction of attorneys and Firm management, and be willing to contribute by performing any task needed to support our clients or the Firm • Shows professionalism at all times with a positive, collaborative, and friendly attitude and approach • Possesses personality, character, humor, intelligence, and compassion; is a team member who genuinely cares about the people for whom and with whom they are working; has a positive and friendly attitude • Able to exercise high levels of discretion, confidentiality, sensitivity and integrity • Able to adhere to Firm policies and procedures Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000
