Responsibilities: • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Serve people with Compassion and always put the well-being of children first • Strictly observe deadlines and billable hour requirements Qualifications: • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas for at least 5 years • Must have prior litigation experience and success • Must have high moral and ethical standards • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas and have good standing with the Texas Bar • Must have at least 5 years experience in a litigation role • Must have a passionate desire to help families in child custody fights and domestic violence cases Compensation: $83,000+ bonuses
