    We’re seeking skilled and experienced Paralegals and Legal Assistants to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of family law experience. You will use your experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, draft and file pleading, interview clients, and conduct research, support several CFLS and Sr. level attorneys. Responsibilities: • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems • Manage a caseload with minimal supervision • Keeping case notes and preparing for case meetings • Understanding of court procedure and family code • Actively communicate with clients The pay rate will depend on experience and qualifications, and if you are the right fit for either role of legal assistant or paralegal. Qualifications: • Talented communicator and writer • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
