Responsibilities: • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers • ****Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally and efficiently • Manage case files, organize documents, and maintain deadlines • Prepare financial disclosures, child support calculations, and trial exhibits • Schedule hearings, depositions, and mediation sessions • Assist with trial preparation, including creating case chronologies and witness lists Qualifications: • Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills Compensation: $58,000 yearly
