Our growing law firm is looking to hire a Family Attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and sometimes even real estate documents. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a plus. This is an in-person position that will include extensive Court time. Candidates must not be afraid of a courtroom and must maintain integrity at all times. Responsibilities: • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Must be a licensed Texas attorney and not awaiting bar results Compensation: $95,000 - $165,000 yearly
