    Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Job seekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation, even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • At least 3+ years of family law litigation experience • Member of the FLORIDA BAR • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations Compensation: $80,000 - $125,000+ DOE
