Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • At least 3+ years of family law litigation experience • Member of the FLORIDA BAR • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations Compensation: $80,000 - $125,000+ DOE
