We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Family Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of our busy family life. This position requires a proactive, organized, and creative self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities in the strictest confidence, ensuring our household runs smoothly while supporting both family and small business needs.
This position is ideal for those looking to subsidize a fixed income or college student looking to work part-time. Salary can be fixed for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Family Calendar Management: Coordinate family schedules, including appointments, events, and activities.
Morning Routine for Kids: Help get kids ready for school, including breakfast preparation, school attire, and dropping them off at school or certain mornings.
Appointments: Schedule girls’ salon appointments, dog grooming appointments, doctor and dentist appointments, and other routine tasks.
Grocery Shopping, Household supplies, and Meal planning: Manage grocery shopping via delivery services, ensuring the household is stocked with essential house supplies, planning and meal prep for dinner based on the nutritional needs of family members.
Home Maintenance and Small Projects: Schedule and oversee minor home repairs and maintenance as needed.
Home Organization: Support the organization of the home by helping to complete tasks such as decluttering office areas & kids’ bedrooms; organizing pantry, mail, laundry room, closets & attic; and other organizing tasks as needed.
Light Housekeeping and Special projects: Maintain a clean and organized home, including tidying up common areas such as (i.e. loading or unloading dishwasher, wiping down dining areas, sweeping, laundry assistance as needed, etc.). Helping to create a pleasant home environment by assisting with decorating tasks such as printing digital pictures, hanging pictures on the wall, conducting online searches for decorating pieces or ideas, etc.
Event planning: Assist with event planning for family and business as needed i.e. make reservations for birthday parties or business dinners.
School and Activity Transportation: Occasionally pick up kids from school or after-school activities. (only if family manager is available to support).
Qualifications:
Strong ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion, ensuring the privacy of both family and business matters.
Upholds the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions and responsibilities.
Must pass a criminal Background Check.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
Reliable, proactive, and able to anticipate needs before they arise.
Experience in household management, childcare, administrative support, or other related fields.
Possesses a high level of initiative and is comfortable working autonomously, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Experience working with children (ages 9 to 12+)
Ability to manage both family and small business needs.
Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for a minimum of three years.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred and will be given priority during the application process, though it is not a requirement.
Schedule & Hours:
Part-time role with flexible hours, generally Monday - Friday between 6:30 am and 12 noon daily. Minimum of 28 hours per week.
Must be available during mornings to help with kids’ routines.
