Family Preservation Services (FPS) of North Carolina has collaborated with Pathways.
FPS of NC is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Paraprofessional or Associate Professional, to provide direct services, focused on skill-building activities, to clients in the Community Support Team Services program. CPSS,Paras/APs report to the Community Services Team Lead and work within a treatment team structure directed by a Qualified Professional [QP]. CPSS ,Paras/APs are responsible for implementing interventions as prescribed in the client’s Person Centered Plan [PCP] and for tracking client outcomes. CPSS ,Paras/APs are responsible for being supportive and contributing team members to the client system, families, schools and community agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work or Psychology, or a related human services field. All individuals must be credentialed as an AP in the state of North Carolina and meet compliance with state or contractual requirements of 10A NCAC 27.G.0104
OR
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Baccalaureate Degree in a field unrelated to human services. Has required number of years of MH/DD/SA experience providing direct service to the population served. All individuals must be credentialed as an AP in the state of North Carolina and meet compliance with state or contractual requirements of 10A NCAC 27.G.0104
OR
GED or High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year experience with population being served. All individuals must be credentialed as an PP in the state of North Carolina and meet compliance with state or contractual requirements of 10A NCAC 27.G.0104.
OR
The Certified Peer Support Specialist shall be an individual who is or has been a beneficiary of mental health or substance use services and is committed to his or her own personal recovery. Must be Certified as Peer Support Specialist in the state of North Carolina
And
2 years related experience and/or training, licensure preferred.
