Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Assistant Programs Director, Division of Community Resilience & Opportunity Programs, the Family Resilience Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive family resilience program. This role focuses on providing wraparound services, case management, and skill-building opportunities for families and individuals in our community. The coordinator will work closely with families to enhance their resilience, support their emotional and social well-being, and promote healthy family dynamics.
The position works closely and in collaboration with the Missions’ Workforce Development and Education programs, the Bullock Community and Recreation Center, and community organizations with which the Missions is partnered such as Wallace Community College.
The position reports directly to the Assistant Programs Director, Division of Community Resilience & Opportunity Programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation:
Support with the program design and lead a family resilience program that integrates evidence-based practices to strengthen family units and support individual growth.
Coordinate and facilitate skill-building workshops and educational sessions for adults, focusing on areas such as parenting, family resource management, and personal development.
Implement social-emotional learning (SEL) groups for children, fostering emotional intelligence, communication skills, coping skills, and healthy interpersonal relationships.
Coordinate across all Missions programs and partners to ensure the integration of family support efforts into the full range of Missions support.
Case Management:
Provide comprehensive case management services to families, including assessment, goal setting, and the development of individualized support plans.
Connect families with community resources and services, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing their needs.
Monitor and evaluate family progress, adjusting support plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
Family Support and Education:
Conduct regular family meetings and provide guidance to help families navigate challenges and build resilience.
Offer individual and group sessions focused on improving family communication, conflict resolution, and parenting strategies.
Collaborate with other community organizations to enhance the range of services available to families.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and service providers to support program goals.
Act as the coordination point for the Vaughan Regional Medical Center partnership on postpartum mothers’ nutrition and fitness involving the Bosco Nutrition Center cooking education, the Bullock Center fitness program, and Catholic Social Ministry.
Lead community outreach efforts to raise awareness of the program and engage families in the services offered.
Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and informational sessions on topics related to family resilience and well-being.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records and documentation in an electronic database system of all services provided, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Prepare quarterly reports on program outcomes and effectiveness for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the development of program materials, resources, and curriculum.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
BSW or related degree, MSW preferred
Professional Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in family support services, case management, or related roles.
Experience facilitating group programs, workshops, or educational sessions for families or children.
Skills and Competencies:
An understanding of the Catholic Church, and respect for its teachings and traditions
Strong understanding of family systems, child development, and family dynamics.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse populations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team.
Knowledge of community resources and experience in connecting families to appropriate services.
Commitment to promoting family resilience, emotional well-being, and social-emotional learning.
Certifications:
Willing to obtain Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) certification or license in social services (social work or counseling) field with-in 1 year of employment.
Additional certifications in case management, social work, or mental health first aid are a plus.

Must posses a valid drivers license
Working Conditions
This is mainly a Monday - Friday position, but will require flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate the schedules of the families served.
The role may involve travel within the community to conduct home visits, attend meetings, and facilitate workshops.
