Job Purpose/Summary
The Family Resource Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Native American Family Resource Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and programs to families. This role involves managing staff, coordinating programs, developing community partnerships, and ensuring the center operates within budget and complies with all regulations and policies. The FRC Manager will plan, coordinate, and implement programs, activities, and services, all intended to help families stabilize their home environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Supervise, train, and support Family Resource Center staff and volunteers.
Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with patrons, participants, clients, co-workers and outside agencies.
Respond to public inquiries and requests; investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary.
Program Development and Implementation:
Plan, develop, and implement programs and services to meet the community’s needs.
Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Oversee the scheduling and coordination of programs, workshops, and events.
Participate in planning meetings and implementation of special events, educational programs and health services; conduct parent education presentations on subjects such as family self sufficiency, parenting skills and strategies, and financial budgeting.
Community Engagement:
Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, schools, and agencies.
Represent the Family Resource Center at community meetings and events.
Conduct outreach to increase awareness and utilization of the center’s services.
Develop and prepare outreach material including pamphlets, brochures, and presentations; perform public relations work within the community.
Coordinate special events and projects, sometimes in collaboration with multiple outside agencies and/or service providers.
Administrative Duties:
Manage the FRC’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability; monitor and control expenditures; order and maintain supplies and equipment.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program activities, outcomes, and financial status.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities; recommend improvements, modifications and services for implementation.
Maintain activity records and attend staff meetings.
Resource Management:
Oversee the maintenance of the facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Manage inventory and procurement of supplies and materials.
Promote safety awareness and ongoing safety inspection of equipment and facilities; monitor follow-up maintenance and repair; instill employee safety practices that prevent injuries to staff and patrons and protect company property from damage.
Client Support:
Ensure the delivery of culturally competent and trauma-informed services.
Handle escalated client concerns and crises with professionalism and empathy.
Conduct in-home assessments of family situation/needs and development of service delivery plan; may include conferences with parents regarding status of child welfare; conduct emergency assistance and provide crisis intervention and follow-up to families.
Provide in-depth information and referral services; identify on-going support services/needs of families and assist them in accessing those services; identify short-term and long-term needs of clients and provide responsible referrals to social service agencies for assistance; problem solve obstacles to client progress; instruct clients on how to self-assess and access services.
Monitor and report client progress toward independence; establish and prepare case management files; prepare and maintain long term tracking records of clients; prepare and maintain statistical and narrative reports, productivity records, daily staff logs, project plans, and incident reports.
Other duties as assigned or required to fulfill the mission of Sacred Path.
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a community service or social services setting.
Knowledge of community resources and social services.
Must possess responsible experience in Human Services, Youth Development, Counseling, and/or Social Work.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field.
A Master’s degree is preferred.
License/Certifications

Excel, Word, Google Workspace, electronic health record.
Utilize technology for virtual sessions and remote monitoring to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and progress notes within the EHR system; ensuring data accuracy, security, and adherence to privacy regulations to safeguard sensitive client information.
Facilitate virtual support groups and educational workshops using video conferencing platforms.
Position Qualification Preferences
Experience working with the American Indian/Alaska Native community.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk frequently, sit, bend, twist, talk, and hear. There are prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with vendors, and staff.
Mental Demands
There are various deadlines associated with this position. The employee must also multi-task and interact with many people on a variety of issues that are, at times, very complicated.
