  • Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    The FSS II will have knowledge of the Adult and Aging Division. Incumbent will perform case management activities to include requesting reports in a timely manner; opening and closing cases upon receipt of supporting documentation; reviewing and documenting reports to keep data current; screen reports for Adult Services/Adult Protective Services' needs, jurisdiction and risk factors.

    Duties:

    • Perform case management activities to include requesting guardianship reports in a timely manner; opening and closing cases upon receipt of supporting documentation; reviewing and documenting reports to keep data current; screen reports for Adult Services/Adult Protective Services' needs, jurisdiction and risk factors.
    • Communicate well both orally and in writing.
    • Effectively apply appropriate local, state, and federal policy
      guidelines.
    • Computer skills including internet search, Peer Place, Mail Merge, Excel, Outlook, MSWord, PowerPoint are required.
    • Must have general knowledge of court processes, court orders and court qualification documents.
    • Respond to judicial requests timely, verify invoices and accurately complete purchase orders for payment to public guardians as required.
    • Prepare reports by extracting data from various programs.
    • Must have knowledge of social work principles, practices, and ethics, specifically Adult Services/Adult Protective Services.
    • Attend appropriate meetings/conferences as scheduled.

    Requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services field (social work, counseling, gerontology, guidance and counseling, family and child development, psychology or sociology) and three (3) years of experience in a human services field; or possess a Bachelor's degree in any field accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a human services area.

    Must have a current and valid driver’s license.

    Experience requirements must include two (2) years in Adult Protective Services or working directly with the older and disabled adult population.
