Farm Manager – How You Will Make Impact
You will lead the 850 acre farm and team in the mission of executing on the strategic growth plan, managing and developing the team, monitoring farm financial performance, providing leadership regarding contract and growth opportunities and assisting with keeping daily farm operations running smoothly.
Farm Manager – Your Daily Role
- Collaborate with leadership team regarding annual plans to boost hay, grazing and native seed production, monitoring budget-to-actuals
- Manage the on-site team (approve time cards and manage schedules, coach for performance, provide growth and learning opportunities and training, share knowledge)
- Perform hands-on farm activities including maintenance, irrigation strategy, design and laying irrigation
- Manage the full production cycle efficiently, from seeding to delivery, while also focusing on conservation efforts
- Coordinate maintenance of farm infrastructure and ensure that farm is in working order and safety standards are maintained
You will work on-site on the farm in Smith Valley, Nevada, standing for long periods of time, engaging in physical activity and working in outdoor conditions.
Farm Manager – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit
You have:
- Prior experience working in specialty crop production (precision growing – any crop) / irrigated crops
- Excitement for leading, managing and developing a team (including accountability and performance)
- Ability and comfort with operating farm equipment (tractor), lifting hay, working hands-on
- Working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook email, basic Excel spreadsheets, Word documents
- Ability to work on site at the farm daily (housing provided if needed)
- Clean driving record / able to drive company vehicle
Farm Manager – You Might Be (Not Required)
- Experienced in seed cultivation, working with specialty crop production or grass production
- Experience with irrigation strategy
- Bilingual Spanish speaking – read, write, and speak

- A 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on property is available to you as on-site housing, should you need.
- Your compensation will be $70,000 to $75,000 base salary plus generous bonus based on growth (anticipated up to 35% bonus). OTE $100,000+

In addition, we value rest and time away with loved ones and provide you with 16 hours of personal leave per year and the week between Christmas and New Year’s off, paid.
